the beauty of us all
is not so much hidden
as undiscovered
all too often
we see the surface
and in passing
we convince ourselves
that it is enough
in reality
the true beauty
lies beyond the surface
beneath that flesh
and the long lean bones
it lies
not so much in the physical
but in the idea that the physical has become
so with that notion
it is the idea
that makes beauty possible
oh the possibilities
