and the definition of "me"
changes every day
a little...
a little
modification here
a little subtraction there
I evolve
quickly
and constantly

sometimes
we want something
so badly
that we wear blinders
to everything else
in our view
this supreme tunnel vision
like a child
we jump
into the deep end
of the pool
and slowly sink to the bottom
after the flailing of arms
and splashing of water
and realize
that we have no idea
how to swim
but damn
that water is beautiful
and even as you sit there
on the bottom of that pool...
the water
all around you
is lovely
maybe even more lovely
than the safety
of the dry lounge chair
that still smells like
that coconut oil.
